Under våren 2014 ges möjligheten att söka olika program under kategorin Monbukagakusho Scholarships, vilket innebär studier och forskning i Japan finansierade av japanska staten.

För ungdomar mellan 17 och 21 år som har gått färdigt gymnasiet: Intresseanmälan till programmen Specialized Training College Students (en hel yrkesutbildning) och Undergraduate Students (en hel universitetsutbildning) kan göras nu, men informationen om dessa program uppdateras senare under våren 2014. Anmälan ska göras i god tid innan sista ansökningsdatum, 25 juni 2014.
